ICS Upgrade for Sony Xperia P from August 19


Bangalore: With a lot of smartphones and tablets getting an update to Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich, Sony wasn’t the ones to be left out from the party. The Smartphone Xperia P will be the next smartphone to get the Ice Cream Sandwich upgrade. The upgraded devices will be out in the market anytime between August 19 and August 25, 2012.

Keeping the evolving changes in the advertisement media as well Sony made the announcement on their Facebook account. Though they had already hinted towards the upgrade of Xperia P they have now officially confirmed it that the upgrade would be in the market note later than the second half of the month of August.

Xperia P was released in India in the month of April 2012. The smartphone has a 4-inch scratch resistant TFT touch screen with a resolution of 960 X 450 pixels and it is powered by a 1 GHz dual core processor. The phone was loaded with Android 2.3 but now it shall be upgraded to ICS operating system.  It comes with a 8 megapixel camera.
