iPhone 5 Launch: A Disappointment in the Making?

Bangalore: Well it’s September 12^th! Why are we so excited or what is the big hype surrounding the date September 12^th 2012? Well for those of you who have missed out on the news, today is the day when Apple will get ready to launch their new generation iPhone. The new iPhone that all of us have christened with the name iPhone 5.

Well not to be a pessimist or a believer of doom, something that comes with so much hype and noise around it generally tends to be a letdown or something ends up going wrong at the event. Will the Apple event be the same or will it be a roaring success. At the moment all we can do is speculate.

Not to sound too negative but we have a lot of reasons to believe that the iPhone 5 or whatever Apple decides to call it; might end up disappointing the gadget world as well as its fans.

The rumors about the new iPhone have been doing the rounds for the past few months and we are expecting the new smartphone from Apple to be bigger with improved battery life and lighting fast connectivity. Have we hyped the new phone to such an extent that we expect a super awesome gadget instead of a normal smartphone from Apple? Have we created grounds for our own disappointment? Well only time will tell.

One things can be said for sure about the new smartphone is that it will definitely be an improvement over the previous iPhone 4S. We all know that Apple only improves its products. So that is one thing we can be sure of.

The iPhone 5 may even be a disappointment for Apple in terms of sales. The time gap within which the rumors of the new iPhone reach the market is becoming shorter and shorter. So once the iPhone 5 is out within in no time the rumors of the iPhone 6 might start. So may be the consumers would wait and not buy the new iPhone 5, till the rumored specification of the next generation iPhone starts doing the rounds.

To be a compete pessimist; could all the rumors and leaked images be a planned out strategy by Apple themselves to increase the company’s stock value in the market? If it was then it was a well thought out and brilliant strategy, as now at $620 billion Apple is the most valuable company in the entire world. So if this is the case and the hyped rumors was just for this then the fans can be in for a major disappointment.

Another reason the launch of the new iPhone could be a disappointment, is because Steve Job the creative genius behind the previous Apple products is no more! Will the new team be as successful as the late CEO Jobs?

Well in the end even if the product launched by Apple is a disappointment, it will always sell and in fact it will go on to break records in the gadget world. This can be said with certainty because in terms of looks and specifications iPhone 4S was very similar to the previous iPhone 4, but in spite of that the iPhone 4S turned out to be the most successful iPhone ever in the company’s history!
