HP outs biz focused EliteBooks with 32 hr battery life

Bangalore: Hewlett Packard (HP) has refreshed its business line up of notebooks with the new EliteBook p- and ProBook b- and s- series. The latest offering of notebooks from HP come loaded with Intel's second generation Sandy Bridge processors, along with USB 3.0 and HD webcams.
The p-series EliteBooks come in 14 inch and 15.6 inch screen size. The USP of these notebooks is that the battery backup. The battery lasts an enormous 32 hours on one charge. The chassis of the EliteBooks is made up of magnesium-aluminium and is called Forge. This makes the device to better handle shocks and jerks. A battery lock has also been included so as to avert the battery from ejecting in case of an impact.
The ProBook s-series laptops are available in screen size ranging from 12 inch to 17 inch. The s-series looks very similar to HP's Pavilion consumer laptops. On board is Intel Sandy Bridge processor, along with spill-resistant keyboard, Surround sound speakers, HD webcam, and fingerprint reader.
The ProBook b-series laptops come in screen sizes of 13, 14 and 15 inches. They also have spill-resistant keyboard, and HD DisplaySafe display panel. There is option between Sandy Bridge and Intel Celeron for CPU for this series of laptops.
The new line of HP laptops will be available from March 15. The EliteBooks are priced starting from $999. The ProBook b-series price starts from $799 while the s-series starts from $579.
