HP launched a host of new laptop models

Bangalore: HP launched new ProBook and EliteBook models along with it; it also introduces new versions to HP Pavilion dv4, HP Mini 210, and HP Envy 14 with updated processor and improved touchpad's. It also introduced prepaid 3G data in laptops.
Business laptops like ProBook 5330m, EliteBook 2560p and 2760p will come with consumer-friendly features like Beats Audio for better sound quality and backlit keyboards. Here are some of the striking features upgraded on the models.
The upgraded model of HP Envy 14 now uses a new HP imagepad that gives better support and other touchpad controls. It runs in Intel's 2011 Sandy Bridge CPUs with USB 3.0, which offer better performance and battery life compared to the model of 2010. As far as the look is concerned, it will remain more or less the same.
The HP Pavilion dv4 also gets the CoolSense treatment and processor upgrade. The sleek 14-inch laptop comes in two colors, weighs less than 5 pounds. HP Mini 210 adds Beats Audio, a seamless touchpad, and easier access to the netbook parts for upgrading.
The HP Pavilion starts at $599 from May 18.The upgraded HP Envy 14 and HP Mini 210 will be available from June 15 starting at $999(

As far as the new ProBook and EliteBook are concerned, ProBook 5330m is a slim 13-inch with Intel's newest Sandy Bridge CPUs and a backlit keyboard. It also has TPM and Intel vPro technology. The EliteBook 2560p and 2760p has metallic finishes and thin designs and are aimed at high-end business users. The 2560p weighs 3.7 pounds, has a 12.5-inch display. The 2560p will be available from May 23 at $1,100(49500).
The EliteBook 2760p is a convertible multi-touch Windows 7 tablet with a 12.1-inch display. The tablet is configurable with Blu-ray, up to 16GB of memory, HDD or SSD, and either Core i5 or i7 Intel Sandy Bridge processors. The EliteBook 2760p will start at $1,500(

Apart from above latest updates, HP has also announced a new pay-as-you-go 3G mobile broadband service for its laptops. The DataPass service can be purchased in blocks, starting at $5(
