Google Nexus 6 Review: Big Screen, Great Performance

BANGALORE: The latest device Motorola’s Google Nexus 6 stirred the mobile market for good. It is the first smartphone to run Android 5.0 Lollipop and comes with a massive 6-inch screen, indeed a big smartphone.

The phone is made of aluminum metal frame and gently curved back, which is heavier, thicker and too wide to hold comfortably. It weighs 184 grams.

To be precise, the phone comes with 5.96-inch AMOLED display, powered by a quad-core, 2.7GHz Snapdragon 805 processor from Qualcomm and a resolution of 1440x2560 pixels. It has 3GB of RAM and a reasonable 32GB or 64GB of internal storage.

The phone also supports Wi-Fi b/g/n/ac, Bluetooth 4.1, NFC, and A-GPS with GLONASS, along with a Micro-USB port, which supports SlimPort accessories for video output.

Nexus 6 has a 13-megapixel sensor, Ring flash  with a dual-LED flash and has a IMX214 sensor with a wider f/2.0 aperture and optical image stabilization, 720p HD video capture modes and a 2-megapixel front shooter.

The 3,220 mAh battery lasts over a day and has wireless charging capabilities. Nexus 6 is available only in two colors, Cloud White or Midnight Blue.

On the whole, Nexus 6 is something to look forward in the Smartphone market.
