Sony Working On E-Paper Smartwatch Due Next Year: Study

BENGALURU: After creating a Smartphone revolution among the likes of the people, Sony is planning to accelerate its market sales with new products and features; the latest is that the Media giant is  trying to develop E-paper Smartwatch, which is likely to be revealed next year.

As reported by International Business Times, the new device will feature a “patented material” that transforms the entire surface into a functional display "The device will emphasize style, rather than trying to outdo more technological offerings like Apple's watch and Sony's own SmartWatch," as reported by IBT.

"The innovation program is very important, but it will take time and will require some risk-taking processes," said Sadao Nagaoka, a professor at Hitotsubashi University in Tokyo.

Though the E-paper smartwatch would be a fancy gadget, it may prove as a landmark device in Sony’s history. What the E-paper Smartwatch would look like and how its functionality would be like, only time has the answer.
