Galaxy Note: Samsung's Latest Smartphone Hybrid

Bangalore: Galaxy Note is the latest smartphone hybrid unveiled by Samsung . The device runs on the Android 2.3 (Gingerbread) operating system and has a 5.3 inch high definition super Amoled multi-touch display screen. An advanced stylus "S-Pen" is provided for better inputs. It has a combination of Samsung Touchwiz user interface and Samsung live Panel user interface to enhance user's experience.
The device features dual-core 1.4 GHz Exynos microprocessor with Mali-400MP graphic chip and 1 GB of RAM. It has 16 GB internal memory which can be expanded up to 48 GB using a 32 GB microSD card.
It sports an 8 megapixel rear camera with LED flash which can record high definition videos at 30 frames per second. It has a 2 megapixel front facing camera for video calling. The music player in the device comes with SoundAlive feature and a Stereo FM radio with RDS.
Galaxy Note weighs 178 grams with 146.85mm x 82.95mm x 9.65mm dimensions. It has 2,500 mAh battery with A-GPS with Glonass.
Though the price and availability of the device is not yet decided, it is likely to be priced around
35,000. Dell Streak is the only mobile phone in the market that is remotely close to Galaxy Note in terms of screen size. It has a 5-inch display with 1.4 GHz dual core processor. Mobile phones like HTC Sensation and the soon to be launched new iPhone from Apple can be considered Galxy Note's biggest competitors.
