With the Notebook Series 9 Samsung has launched the world’s thinnest notebook which just measures 12.9mm and weighs only 1.16 kg. The Notebook has a 13.3 inch display which has a resolution of 1600 X 900 pixels. The device is powered by a 1.9 GHz Intel i7 Ivy Bridge processor backed by 4 GB of DDR3 RAM. As of now the Notebook runs on Windows 7 operating system but it will get an upgrade to Windows 8 operating system. It comes with 6 cell battery that provides up to 6.5 hours of battery life.

If Samsung launched the world’s thinnest Notebook, Lenovo couldn’t be far behind. They launched the world’s lightest ultrabook - the ThinkPad X1 Carbon. The launch of this gadget was done to mark the beginning of the celebrations of ThinkPad’s 20th anniversary.
The ultrabook has a 14 inch display. The device will be powered by a 3rd generation Intel Core processor. The device also comes with a multi-gesture glass surface touchpad and a HD face-tracking camera. For the people who love listening to music as well as watching movies the device is clocked with Dolby-tuned audio for crisp and clear sound. The ultrabook is made from carbon fiber. The gadget claims to come with a 6.3 hours battery life.
