Enliven Your TV Experience At CES 2014

Samsung with its line of Smart TV’s, is offering features that include voice commands and gestures to control the TV’s functions. LG’s, Smart TVs powered by Google TV, is expected to present a new Smart TV powered by webOS.

Organic Light-Emitting Diode (OLED) the latest technology set to transform the TV viewing experience will be on spotlight at the show. With OLED TVs being extremely thin and flexible, Samsung and LG have already released curved screen televisions. LG’s gigantic 105-inch LED TV and five new OLED sets in 55in and 65in and 77in models are set to be showcased.

With OLED technology pushing ahead, the expectations are on to see more OLED TVs at CES 2014. If the rumour mills are to be believed, then this year Samsung and LG are both set to unveil curved OLED screens that can change shape and are controlled by a remote. The curvature can be suitably positioned to improve the viewing angle.

The stunning visuals and picture quality aside, it’s time for the manufacturers to tone down prices to bring in the average consumer. The unfolding story at CES could be the affordability of new technology for years ahead.
