Chinese Edition of Window Phone Tango Coming
Bangalore: Windows Phone 7 ‘Tango’ is going to visit China by March 2012, after the Mobile World Conference (MWC), reports WPDang. The Chinese market will not be getting the full version, but a customized ‘lite’ version of this operating system.
The localized version of Tango will exclude many popular services and features such as Xbox Live, Twitter and Facebook to adhere to strict local guidelines, says The Verge. It is also rumored that the default search engine in all Windows Phones ‘Bing’ will be replaced with ‘Baidu’ which is the most popular search engine in China.
According to WPDang, China market will see a range of Window Phone Tango by the end of March from various manufacturers like HTC, LG and ZTE in addition to Nokia.
Mobile World Congress is around the corner and there are many rumors about Microsoft’s plans about Window Phone OS, it is said that Windows Phone 8 ‘Apollo’ is going to arrive soon and it will be accompanied with the budget-phone-friendly version of Window Phone called Tango.
Microsoft has not commented on any of the rumors nor has it revealed any details regarding the hardware requirement for this upgradation of OS. We all expect Microsoft to give us more good news along with the launch of Windows 8 consumer preview at the MWC 2012.
