In May, 2012 Sony launched three new smartphone - Xperia U and P, and the Xperia Sola in the Indian market. All three smartphone are priced to have a spot in the mid-range smartphone market in India. All three phones come with some or the other special features to cater the needs of different types of customers.

Specification: All the three phone is powered by dual-core 1 GHz Cortex-A9 processor and runs on Android 2.3 (Gingerbread) OS which is upgradable to Android 4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwich).

Xperia P features a 4-inch screen, 1GB RAM, 16GB internal memory, 8 MP camera and a VGA camera.

Xperia U has 3.5-inch screen, 512MB RAM, 4GB internal memory, 5 MP camera and VGA camera.

Xperia Sola sports a 3.7-inch screen, 512MB RAM, 8GB internal memory, 5 MP and a VGA camera.
