Bangalore: Asus has revealed that it is planning to launch a range of E-pads in India. The company claims the first models of the E-Pads will be available by January 2011 in markets in India.
Although there has been no news about the pricing of the E-Pad, Asus India's General Manager-System Business Group, Alex Huang expects the price tag to be around
15,000-20,000.
Nothing is known about the specifications of the E-Pad yet except it will have Android operating system. We will get to know more on the specs as we inch closer to the release of the device.
The tablet wars are gearing up with iPad, Streak and Galaxy Tab out in the battle ground. However with respect to the Indian market, these tablets are yet to show up here. Will Asus beat them in bringing a tablet to the Indian market first? Only time will tell.
