Amazon's unconcealed Android tablets; Coyote and Hollywood

Bangalore:A bewildering information has been leaked that ,'Amazon' the online retailer is planning to launch its Android tablets. The tablets will consist of two versions named 'Coyote' and 'Hollywood.' Perhaps, rumours have emerged that the e-book giant is coming up with an 'entire family' of Android devices for America's upcoming holiday shopping season. There are no precise facts about the leaked information and the details are very scarce. But the predicted Android tablets are to be code named as Coyote and Hollywood. Further more Amazon is building up its own App store for an unknown purpose, which leads to further curiosity. Report reveals that Amazon is placing a massive order totaling 3.2 Billion dollars for 700,000 tablets a month with Taiwan based Quanta Computers. Amazon Chief Executive Officer, Jeff Bezos delicately suggested that there is a tablet in the works. There is every possibility for Amazon to launch its own Android tablets. As Amazon has all the value-added services that would be necessary in order to launch a mass-market Android device ranging from an iPod touch media player to a full sized 10-inch tablet like an iPad. Amazon has built an App Store, as per the "Welcome Packet" that was sent out to seed developers in early October. Adding to this, Amazon has music distribution service and Video-On-Demand service. Naturally, it also has the entire Kindle Store with over 1 Million eBooks. The main reason behind the enigma about the plans of the tablet is that, Amazon does not want to give the impression that it is killing off the Kindle e-Reader. The Amazon Kindle is an e-book reader developed by Amazon.com. Amazon mentions Android specifically by name in the literature that has leaked. The only reason why Amazon would want to start its own App Store is either to offer the service to low-cost device manufacturers in order to compete with the Android Market, or to provide an app ecosystem for a device of its very own. As per the assumptions of the Coyote and the Hollywood, features of these tablets are predicted. Talking about Coyote, this tablet would be Amazon's 'entry level' tablet. This tablet will be smaller than the other one, with lower quality screen and processing power. Predictions also state that it will be based on the NVIDIA Tegra 2 platform. Coyote will be a cheaper tablet; according to BGR's source. The predicted price of these tablets will be around $250. 'Hollywood', another Amazon tablet will lead the path, flaunting about its NVIDIA's impressive T30 'Kal-El' quad-core processor. And assumed to have a higher quality screen and processing power. NVIDIA reported to IDG News that Kal-El-powered tablets should be available by August, followed by predictions concerning Amazon's manufacturing plans where production will not be left far.
