In addition to the size and quality of the sensor, the smartphone camera also has an image processor. Some latest high-end smartphone are packed with a dedicated graphics processing unit which can quickly deliver photos, videos and games without straining the main processor.
In this case HTC has come up with a separate image processor for its HTC One series smartphones called as the HTC ImageChip. This chip is capable of taking continuous pictures with 0.7 seconds rate between every shot.
