Xiaomi Redmi Note 3 to Touchdown Indian Market on March 3



BENGALURU, KA: Xiaomi recently announced that it has set the launch date of the Redmi Note 3, for its Indian consumers on March 3. The cell phone manufacturers, who are also the 4th largest smartphone makers in the world is hosting the launch at the Talkatora Stadium in New Delhi, and the event will be open to fans.

Due to ongoing legal issues, Xiaomi is unable to release the Redmi Note 3 with the Mediatek's Helio X10 processor that it originally launched in China with, back in January. Instead, for the Indian market, the smartphone comes equipped with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 650 chipset under the hood. The hexa-core Snapdragon 650 processor has speeds of four cores clocked at 1.2GHz and two remaining cores at 1.8GHz. With a pixel density of 401ppi on its 5.5-inch IPS LCD full HD (1,080 x 1,920 pixels) screen and a 178 degree viewing angle, the Redmi Note 3 display remains the same as its predecessor.

While keeping most of the look same with the previous Redmi Note 2, Xiaomi exchanged the matte body with an aluminum finish for its Note 3, giving it a glossy shine. The dual-LED flash as well as the fingerprint scanner is distinctly visible at the back of the device. The fingerprint scanner is suitably placed just below the primary camera, in order to sync perfectly with your index finger. The phone comes stocked with two plastic bands, one at the top and one at the bottom which cover the phone’s antennas. The device is expected to be available in three distinct colors—Dark Grey, Champagne Gold, and Silver.
