The New Canon EOS 1300D Launched

BENGALURU: The leading manufacturers of imaging and optical products, Canon launched the new EOS 1300D focusing on entry level photographers with advanced technological upgrades and best in class pricing.

Powered by Canon’s DIGIC 4+ image processor, the camera allows faster image processing and better focusing speeds. With an ISO ranging 100-6,400 the camera tenders better light sensitivity- the lower the number the less sensitive your camera is to light and the finer the grain. The EOS 1300D has an 18 megapixel APS-C CMOS sensor offering superior image quality and sensitivity. Featuring a 920,000-dot LCD monitor as well as optical viewfinder, the EOS 1300D is capable of recording Full HD movies. Fitted with a 9-point focusing system, the camera is capable of tracking moving subjects better. Providing a sharper and clearer image, the resolution of the 3-inch LCD screen has also improved to nearly double at 920k dots.

The camera stands out with added features like NFC and Wi-Fi connectivity that allows instant transfer of images to a smartphone or remotely framing a shot with Canon's Camera Connect app. The app lets pairing the EOS 1300D with a smart device and the user can control several aspects of the camera wirelessly, such as shutter speed, aperture and ISO speed before finally capturing the shot without ever having to touch the camera. The camera has a burst shooting up to 3fps and weighs at around 485 g.

Integrated with built-in filters, the all new EOS 1300D allows capturing creative shots such as soft focus, grainy black and white, toy camera effect, fisheye effect and miniature effect. There is also an in-camera control of these filters including intensity and color tone, and changing the focal point in several of these effects.

Priced at Rs 29,995 the EOS 1300D will include the EF-S 18-55mm IS II kit lens, while the double zoom variant flaunts the EF-S 18-55mm IS II and EF-S 55-250mm IS II lenses priced at Rs 38,995. Both variants will be available for purchase from April 2016 onwards.
