Sony PlayStation Vita, Can't it be a Phone?

Bangalore: Recently Sony acquired the Ericsson part of Sony Ericsson and now the company has  got full control over all the Ericsson’s mobile phones unit. This new acquisition has tech thinkers around the world to hope for a Sony PlayStation Vita phone.

Previously Sony Ericsson has come up with a gaming phone ‘Xperia Play’ or we can say it experimented making a gaming mobile with dedicated gaming keys as the device failed to buzz the market due to its limited game library. But Xperia Play showcased one of the best concept for implementing physical gaming keys on phone.

The company has already introduced the PlayStation Vita in Indian market for 19990 for only Wi-Fi model and 24990 for 3G+Wi-Fi model. It works more like a phone using mobile network, featuring 3G connectivity, Wi-Fi- GPS location based gaming, online games and is also capable of downloading PSP games. Moreover it does everything what today’s smartphone are made for apart from making a voice calls.

While the company says the main idea of PS Vita is to be a dedicated gaming device. And unless you are a hardcore gamer you won’t wish to carry this console with you always and with the failure lesson of Xperia Play there are less chances that the company will build phone cum gaming device.
