Samsung Rolls Out First Update For Galaxy S4 In India


Bangalore: Samsung, who is well known for timely attending the user demands, has done it once again by rolling out an update for its latest release, Galaxy S4. The OTA (Over The Air) update solves minor problems of the flagship phone including a reported purple effect while scrolling any list and the inability to store apps on the memory card.

The users of Galaxy S4 can now store apps in the memory card, which was not possible before. Also the internal memory of the phone was increased to 9.23 GB from 8.82 GB after installing the 343 MB update. Samsung has also tweaked camera with a new firmware that enables recording HDR video. New set of icons in the settings menu, a new secure boot status in the ‘about’ menu and new option to increase legibility in the Display settings menu also comes loaded with the update.

The availability of update in India was first reported by XDA Developers website. Users who want to avail the update can try this by going to the update software option in the S4.
