Samsung May Unveil 4.99-Inch Super AMOLED Displays


Bangalore: The battle for being the king of the smartphone world continues between Samsung and Apple as both tries to outdo the other by pushing the limits of the specifications of their smartphones.

Recently a survey conducted by Booz and Company has considered Apple as the world’s most innovative company. But Samsung is set to introduce a new smartphone display at an upcoming event Consumer Electronic Show (CES) 2013 which might cost Apple this title.

As of now Samsung features on the number four slot in Booz’s list. But with recent rumors and announcements it may soon be the most innovative company in the world.

According to a Korean Website Asiae, the smartphone from Samsung would comes with a 4.99 inch Full HD Super AMOLED display with a resolution of 1080 pixels.  

An official at Samsung Display said, “It has more than 100 pixels per inch more than the Apple iPhone’s 326 ppi stretched beyond the limits of the human eye level.”

The mass production of this smartphone is likely to be start in the first quarter of 2013 and will call it as the Samsungs flagship smartphone Galaxy S IV. The Galaxy S IV is expected to make debut in the Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2013 event with is scheduled to be in Barcelona next year.
