Samsung Galaxy S5 Packs "Iris Scanner", Expected Launch By April


Bangalore: The South Korean tech giant has revealed its plan to come up with the next variant of flagship Galaxy S series, Galaxy S5. The gadget is said to be made additional secure with the introduction of “Iris Scanner” into the device, reports Business Standard.

The introduction of the security feature is thought to be Samsung’s strategic plan to check the progress of iPhone 5S with finger scanning technology. Samsung Galaxy S5 is expected to be launched in April and an updated version of their smart watch, Galaxy Gear is anticipated to accompany the release.

As reported by The Verge, LeeYoung-hee, mobile executive VP of Samsung said “We've been announcing our first flagship model in the first half of each year, around March and April, and we are still targeting for release around that time," Lee said. "When we release our S5 device, you can also expect a Gear successor with more advanced functions, and the bulky design will also be improved."
