Sales of Samsung Galaxy S Crosses 100 Million Units

Bangalore: According to  a statement of Samsung officials, Galaxy S Smartphones, one among the most liked Smartphones by the people, has created a new benchmark by selling an aggregated total of more than 100 million units as of January  13, 2013. The first iteration of Galaxy S was launched in June 2010. The statement also says that the first device has now sold 24 million units. After  a period of 7 months  post its launch, The company recorded a sale of 10 million units. The second iteration of the Smartphone was launched in April 2011, and it collected a combined sale of 40 million units along with 10 million in the first five months,  reports the company officials. In May 2012 the company introduced its Galaxy S3 smartphone and within the first 100 days of its launch the company achieved 20 million sales. There have also been rumors, that Samsung Electronics may unveil its Galaxy S4 device at the Mobile World Congress in February this year,  but the company officials refused to comment on the same. .
