Nokia EOS, The First PureView Windows Phone Is Coming

Bangalore: Whether rumors get it right or not, Nokia is on the verge to get its first, PureView camera Windows Phone later this year. The device is said to have the codename EOS and will be qualified as the true PureView phone running Windows 8.

Sources reveal that the device will include a similar sensor that was found on Nokia’s 808 PureView handset. The advantage of this device was that the 41-megapixel sensor and five element f/2.4 Carl Zeiss lens with Xenon flash can take amazing pictures and videos. The device used oversampling to make super crisp shots from 41 Mega Pixel into, 8, 5 and 2 Mega Pixel images  with much less noise unlike traditional camera phones.

According to Nokia’s head of imaging technologies, the team set itself to work on the next generation of PureView cameras, avoiding to provide any specific details only saying that what it was supposed to provide was termed as ‘Very Cool’ keeping PureView in marketing terms these days.

The device is said to replace the flagship device of the Finnish firm which is Lumia 920 at present, sporting an aluminium exterior instead of polycarbonate, unlike previous one.
