New Galaxy S2 Handsets comes with Android 4.0 in India


Bangalore: When Indian market is eagerly waiting for Samsung’s flagship smartphone Galaxy S3, the company gave extra good news; they started the shipment of new Galaxy S2 models with Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich (ICS). The present Galaxy S2 owners are still waiting for an ICS update, but the new buyers will have the phone loaded with Android 4.0.3.

The news about Galaxy S2 having ICS stated circulating the web when one buyer Tweeted about his new Galaxy S2 phone having the latest Android OS. This fact was later confirmed by the company spokesperson who said “Samsung has started to ship Android 4.0-powered Galaxy S2 units," adding, "chances of people to come across old Galaxy S2 units running Android 2.3 OS are very less now” reports IBN Live.

If you are planning to buy a Galaxy S2, make sure that the import date is April 2012 and or later. And all the Galaxy S2 owners raise your hopes that your device will get ICS update soon, as the new units of the smartphone are running on Android 4.0.
