Motorola Releases ICS update for RAZR Maxx and RAZR


Bangalore: Motorola India has rolled out Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich (ICS) update for its flagship smartphone Motorola RAZR Maxx and Motorola RAZR in India. The ICS update is available over-the-air (OTA) for around 200-240MB size, the company stated in its official website.

The ICS update will bring new look and feel to the user interface and an improved voice recognition system. As the company states in its website, the ICS upgrade will also include home screen customization and navigation changes in both devices. Along with the operating system Motorola is also providing nine EA games for free.

For those who don’t know, Motorola RAZR Maxx and RAZR comes with 4.3 inch super AMOLED display with 540x960 pixels of resolution. Both are powered with a dual-core 1.2 GHz processor coupled with 1 GB of RAM and has 6GB of internal storage. The phone comes with an 8 MP rear camera and a 1.3MP front camera. Along with this the camera also comes with features like geo-tagging, face detection, image stabilization and touch focus.

RAZR Maxx boosts of a power full battery life as well. The battery has a whopping 607 hours of stand up battery life and up to 18 hours of talk time.

While Razr sports Kevlar fiber, Corning Gorilla Glass to withstand scratches and scrapes. Every part of Razr is protected by a splash-guard coating, including the electrical boards inside. It offers upto 10 hours talktime or 13.5 days standby on 3G usage.
