Motorola Launched Budget Smartphone MOTOSMART

Bangalore: Motorola has announced its next budget smartphone followed by the release of Motorola Atrix HD which also falls in the low price category. The new smartphone from Motorola will be called MOTOSMART and for now only the UK markets will see this phone. The company has been tightlipped about their plans for releasing the smartphone in India and the other Asian countries in spite of Asia being the continent with the biggest market for budget smartphones.

MOTOSMART comes with a 3.5-inch screen with a resolution of 480 X 320 pixels. This budget smartphone runs on Android 2.3 Gingerbread operating system and an upgrade to a higher Android operating system seems highly unlikely. The phone also comes with Motorola’s updated MotoSwitch user interface. The phone is powered by a 600MHz Qualcomm MSM7227 processor.

The device has a 3 megapixel camera and it is Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and GPS enabled. It has a 512 MB RAM. The memory is expandable as there is a slot provided for a micrsoSD card support.

"Simply put, MOTOSMART makes life easier. You don't have to worry about complicated settings and hard-to-follow instructions. Just turn this smartphone on and get instant access to the people and things in your life that matter most," said Victoria McManus, marketing director, UK & Nordics, Motorola Mobility.
