Motorola Atrix HD Smartphone Officially Launched

Bangalore: Motorola has finally announced it’s much leaked and rumored Atrix HD smartphone. The phone sports a huge 4.5-inch display with 720x1280 resolution and comes powered with 1.5 GHz dual-core Qualcomm Snapdragon processor and 1 GB RAM.

Atrix HD is a Micro-SIM sporting smartphone that features an 8 MP rear camera capable of 1080p video capture also, a front-facing HD web cam, 8GB internal memory which can be expanded to 32GB with microSD slot. The best thing in this device is its three microphone audio capture which is more effective in noise reduction while making calls when compared to other smartphones which comes with only two microphones.

The impact of Google’s acquisition of Motorola can be seen in this device as it comes with the crisp Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich, but it’s sad that it doesn’t have the latest Jelly Bean.

Other features of the phone includes proximity and ambient light sensors, Wi-Fi, GPS, HDMI-out, Bluetooth and a 3.5mm audio jack. It is also 4G or LTE enabled and gives 9 hours of talk time with its 1780 mAh battery.

The phone will be available in the US market from July 15 for $99. The price and availability details for the Indian market are not disclosed yet.
