Moto G Turbo to Be Launched On December 10

sdBENGALURU: Moto G has seen a number of successful launches and yet again Moto G fans can rejoice, as Motorola is soon to launch its Moto G Turbo Edition this week. Motorola has also released a teaser on its official Indian twitter account which is much appealing to its fans, according to gizbot.com.

Moto G Turbo packs in hardware that comes shoulder-to-shoulder with Motorola’s other mid-range offering by the Moto X Play. It cuts down on the camera and battery, putting an expectation for the phone to be smartly priced. The company began teasing the launch from Saturday and with a tweet on Sunday pointed to a three-day launch time-frame suggesting a Wednesday launch rather than a Thursday launch hinted at by Monday's tweet.

The Lenovo-owned company unveiled the Moto G Turbo Edition in Mexico last month. Borrowing enhanced ruggedness from the Turbo brand, the handset was reported to sport IP67, certification and also withstand being submerged in up to a meter of water for 30 minutes. As far as the specs go, the Moto G Turbo packs a Snapdragon 615 chipset with octa-core CPU and sports a 5-inch display.

To give extra boost to this chipset, there is a 2GB of RAM and 16GB of internal storage and packs in a 2,470mAh battery that supports Motorola Turbo Power quick charging. Other features include an expandable storage via micro-SD-card, a 13-megapixel rear camera with f/2.0 aperture and a 5-megapixel front-facing camera with f/2.2 aperture. On the software front, the handset runs Android 5.1.1 Lollipop out of the box. The handset is expected to be priced roughly around 18,600.
