TCL Unveils Pride T500L with Iris Scanner at 10,499

BANGALORE: A month ago, Windows 10 Lumia 950 and 950 XL was introduced to the Smartphone world and it features a iris scanner grabbing the attention of mass. The similar strategy is being used by a Chinese Smartphone manufacturer and parent company of Alcatel, TCL, in their latest Pride T500L for unlocking the phone, reports Tech2.

Earlier this week, TCL launched the Pride T500L into Indian market and it is priced at 10,499. However, the new TCL phone is not the first Android powered Smartphone to feature the iris scanner for security. Few years ago, ViewSonic V55 and Fujitsu Arrows NX F-04G handsets featured the same tech for security as well .

The novel Pride T500L sports a 5-inch FHD IPS display and is powered by Octa-core processor clocked at 2.5GHz coupled with 2GB RAM. The phone features 16GB on-board memory and has a microSD card slot for further expansion of memory up to 64GB.

On the camera front, a 13MP rear shooter and an 8MP front-facing camera are packed in with Electronic Image Stabilization (EIS). The phone offers dual SIM card slots that can support both 4G and 3G connectivity. The TCL Pride T500L is exclusively available on Snapdeal and there are two colour variants- white and slate grey.
