Meet Genie: The Gadget That Lets You Cook Anything In 30 Seconds

BANGALORE: Star Trek fans are familiar to the meal synthesizer also called Replicator device. A firm based out of Israel has launched similar modern day equipment that claims to prepare food dishes in just 30 seconds. Named Genie, this look alike of a coffee maker can prepare dishes with the help of pods. These pods aid in the natural dehydration ingredients, reports Wonderful Engineering.  

More interestingly, this smart gadget uses a technology and is operated through an app and cook food in portions. White Innovation Company’s Ayelet Carasso and Doron Marco are the two masterminds behind this innovative creation. The company would roll out its new device in the markets priced at $1,000.

Carasso explains, “The dish can be anything, it can be a meal like chicken with rice, like couscous with vegetable or an amazing Ramen or even a chocolate soufflé or any other desert that you want. We’re using only natural ingredients, we’re not using any preservatives, or anything that people add to their meals.”  

Switching on the button on the machine set the machine in motion. The machine would then work on its own terms mixing, shaking and adding ingredients at its back as per requirements.  As Carasso and Marco were struggling to find places to eat late nights they devised this equipment. However, there is room for improvement and the firm is working on the mobile application.

“Eventually, Genie will know your micro-biome and will prepare the pod for you, just for you and you will eat better, even tastier and healthier. In our world, we are getting fat and we are throwing away a lot of food, in their world, they don’t have any food. So if you use Genie, you can distribute the food better, you can have the shelf life much longer without the preservatives, give the people better food for them. We can even the food distribution in the world. That’s a very, very important goal for us.”

Currently the company is focusing on the mass production of the gadget.
