Makerbot Unveils Mini 3D Printer At Affordable Price For Consumers


Bangalore: MakerBot, the manufacturers of the most successful 3D printers unveiled "MakerBot Replicator Mini Compact 3D," a compact and affordable 3D printer that can help people create and print their own 3D images and designs at home. The device priced at $1,375 is set to arrive in the spring in U.S.

The Mini 3D printer has a 3.5-inch color LCD screen that allows the user to track progress of their print jobs and to set up Wi-Fi and Ethernet connections. The device has been designed for a wide range of consumers—from beginners to professionals. All they need to do is load the design and hit print. The device has automated pause and resume feature, in the event of filament running out. It comes with a built-in camera to monitor the progress of printing and to share images to various social networking websites.
