Lenovo Launches Two Windows 8 Notebooks

Bangalore: Lenovo announced the launch of two new Windows 8 notebooks, IdeaPad Y500 and IdeaPad Z500 in India. The notebooks, powered by third generation Intel Core processors run Microsoft’s latest Windows 8 OS.

Priced at 64, 290, Lenovo IdeaPad Y500 features a carbon fiber patterned cover, 15.6-inch LED backlit widescreen HD display and a dual-layer backlit Accutype keyboard with a large one-piece touchpad. Besides, it also features UltraBay, an interchangeable bay that users can instantly switch for dual graphics capability, increased storage space or an additional fan for cooling. It also has an interchangeable DVD reader, JBL speakers and Dolby Home Theatre v4 for audio.

The Lenovo IdeaPad Z500, available at 48,990 is believed to be one of the slimmest laptops available in the Indian market. Currently, it is available in two colors, dark chocolate and enamel white featuring a 15.6 inch LED backlit HD widescreen display. The notebook is also accompanied with an Intelligent touchpad, optimized for the new Windows 8 interface with easy scroll, zoom and rotate functions.
