Lava To Launch Xolo 500, Powered With Intel Atom Chip


Bangalore:  Lava is all set to launch its second flagship, Intel powered Smartphone in India. Dubbed has Xolo 500, the device packs the latest Intel Atom Lexington Z2420 chip which got recently unveiled at Consumer Electronics Show, reports NDTV GADGETS.

According to the reports, Xolo 500 will be a dual-SIM Smartphone, which runs on Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich, powered by Intel Atom Lexington Z2420 1.2 GHz chip, with Intel Hyper-Threading Technology. The device sports 3.5 inch screen with resolution of 480*320. It packs 512 MB RAM, 4GB internal memory, and capability to expand up to 32 GB via microSD card, and comes with 1,500mAh battery.

The Xolo X500 also sports a 5 MP auto focus rear camera that can click seven images in the burst mode at 6 fps.

Lava is said to be already shipped the first assignment of the product and the device will be available soon in the market with best price sale at 8,999.

According to Intel, ‘Lexington’ Atom Z2420 processor with Intel Hyper-Threading technology—one core two threads— has frequency of 1.2 GHz. The Chip is said to be capable of 1080p HD hardware-accelerated encoding/decoding, and supports up to two cameras delivering advanced imaging capabilities, including burst mode that Lava 500 sports. The chip also includes Intel XMM 6265 HSPA+ modem that offers dual-SIM/dual-standby capabilities, something very popular in India.
