LG X-Series - X5 and X Skin - Launched


BENGALURU: Recently, the world is seeing the launch of many budget smartphones with all the latest features in the range 10–15 thousand rupees. All brands are competing in this arena and LG is not behind. LG has unveiled 2 of its ‘X Series’ smartphones—X5 and X Skin in South Korea and has not revealed any plans of releasing it in the other parts of the globe. The former model is priced around Rs 11700 and the latter one at Rs 13500 in Indian Currency.

Last month, the company has also uncovered its X Power smartphone in its home sod that was announced globally. Let us look at the functionality and specifications of these newly launched phones as listed by NDTV Gadgets.

Taking a look at the special features embedded in the smartphone: LG X5 is available in White and Black colors, whereas X Skin model is available in Gold and Titanium colors.

The features of both the X Skin and X5 smartphones comes with similar entrails of X-power. They are powered up by 1.3 GHz quad-core processor, 16GB built in memory and have external slot to save data up to 32GB. The devices support dual-SIM and run Android 6.0 Marshmallow. They both boasted with 5-Megapixel front-facing camera for high quality selfie shoots. The connectivity options include GPRS/EDGE, 3G, 4G LTE, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, NFC, Micro-USB, and GPS/A-GPS.

These two devices are similar to the features of X Power, except in battery capacity and size. There are few contrasting features between these two. The LG X Skin has 5-inch HD IPS display with resolution of 720x1280 pixels and 1.5GB of RAM.

It geared up with an 8-megapixel rear camera, LED flash and is backed up by a 2100mAh battery. It weighs 122 grams with the dimensions of 144.8x71.4x6.9mm.

The LG X5 has 5.5-inch HD IPS display with resolution of 720x1280 pixels and 2GB of RAM. It boasted up with a 13-megapixel rear camera accompanied by LED flash and is powered up by a 2800mAh battery. It weighs 133 grams and measures 151.6x76.9x7.2mm.
