LG Flaunts New Mid-range X-series Smartphones Ahead of MWC

BENGALURU: South Korean tech giant, LG, has announced “X Cam and X Screen”—a new line of smartphones, which have mid-range specifications, but excel in one specific area. The primary conception is to help someone with a shoe-string budget, but with a desire for a great camera or vibrant display experience. The X series with its two first variants—the X Cam and the X Screen—becomes the magic wand to quench these not-so-rich folks’ gadget thirst.

Now, LG is treading a different path. Doing away with its previous generations of smartphones, the Korean OEM is taking a new approach that seemingly addresses specific needs instead of a broad market based on price tags. In January, company had exhibited strong suit by winning more than 50 awards during CES 2016 (Consumer Electronics Show) and release of back-to-back updates have always helped them zero in.

The X Cam and X Screen will debut officially on February 22 in Barcelona, the day after the LG G5 event at Mobile World Congress 2016.

Phone Description:

The LG X cam, as the name so clearly points out, is one that is focused on photography. Users will be getting a phone with mid-range specs; although, it has a dual-camera experience on the back as well as a 3D bending glass with a curved finishing. The cameras are 13MP and 5MP shooters, which combine to make what LG calls the “most advanced camera experience in a mass-tier smartphone.”  The phone also sports a 5.2-inch FHD display, 2GB RAM, octa-core processor, front 8MP camera, 2520mAh battery, 16GB internal storage, and Android 6.0 Marshmallow. Available colors will include Titan Silver, White, Gold, and even Pink Gold.
