LG Announces Android Phablet Optimus Vu II


Bangalore: Alowly tablets and smartphones are making their way for phablets. After Samsung now LG unveiled their phablet Optimus Vu II. The launch of their phablet doesn’t come as a surprise as they had already hinted at the IFA 2012 that they would be coming out with a phablet soon.

The new Phablet from LG is slightly smaller than the one of Samsung. The device comes with a 5 inch screen of IPS display with a resolution of 1024 X 768 pixels. The gadget functions on Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich operating system and is powered by a 1.5Ghz dual-core Qualcomm  processor backed by 2 GB RAM.

The device has an 8 mega pixel auto focus primary cameras and a 1.3 mega pixel front facing cameras which would allow the users to make video calls. It is powered by a 2150 mAH battery and comes with only 3 GB of internal memory storage. It is available in three colour options - white, black and pink.

The new Optimus Vu II comes with a few alterations to “Rubberdium Pen 2.0” the pen now has a slimmer nib which according to the company will make writing easier and more accurate. It also has some interesting new accessories like a wireless charging pad and a waterproof One Key remote.

According to the company for the time being the phablet will only be available in Korea for $864 (approx. 45,500). The availability of the product and pricing in India has not been made public yet.
