Huawei Launched Two Mid-Ranged Smartphones in India


Bangalore: Huawei launched two smartphones; Honor and the upgraded version of Ideos X5 in the Indian market. Before the official launch the Honor was spotted in online shopping site Flipkart at a price tag of 19,990.

The Huawei Honor sports a big 4 inch high-definition (HD) capacitive touchscreen, it is powered by 1.4 GHz single core Qualcomm Scorpion processor, Adreno 205 graphic processor unit and runs on Android 2.3 Gingerbread. The company promises to upgrade it for Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich.

Honor also features 8 MP rear camera with LED flash, 0.3 MP front facing camera, 1 GB of internal memory and can be expandable up to 32 GB via microSD card. For connectivity it has Bluetooth, microUSB, 3G, EDGE, GPRS, Wi-Fi, Wi-Fi hotspot, DLAN and A-GPS.

The Ideos X5 is an improvised version of the older Ideos smartphone. The device comes with 3.8 inch capacitive touchscreen display with 480x800 pixels of resolution, is powered by 1 GHz Scorpion processor, 512 MB RAM and runs on Android 2.3 Gingerbread operating system.

Ideos X5 also has 5 MP rear camera with autofocus, LED flash, capable of recording up to 720p HD videos, 1.5 GB internal memory and a microSD card slot for expandable memory up to 32 GB. For connectivity it has Bluetooth, microUSB, 3G, EDGE, GPRS, Wi-Fi, and Wi-Fi hotspot.

The Huawei Honor comes with a price tag of around 19,990 and the Ideos X5 is available for 13,800.
