HP Releases its EliteBook Series of Thin and Light Laptops for the Indian Market


BENGALURU: HP India launched their latest series of thin and light notebooks, aimed at fulfilling business and personal requirements of the customers. The series, named as HP EliteBook will thus help to establish easy collaboration for the working professionals. The newly launched laptops are the EliteBook Folio, HP Elite x2 1012, HP EliteBook Folio 1040 G3, and HP EliteBook 840.

"At HP, we are pushing the envelope in design, productivity, security and entertainment to build innovative products for 'One Life'," says Ketan Patel, Director, Personal Systems, HP India.

The HP EliteBook Folio weighs less than 1 kg, and has claimed to be the thinnest and lightest business notebook that offers improved security and manageability features. Priced at Rs 1,28,000, the notebook comes with HP Premium Keyboard, and a Windows 10 compatible gesture-enabled click-pad. Additionally, the device also integrates two USB-C ports with Thunderbolt 3 support for fast data transfers and 4K displays. What will draw the Customers attention is that the laptop runs on Windows 10 Pro, delivering up to 10 hours of battery backup.

Another significant introduction is the HP Elite x2 1012 which gives users the convenience of using a tablet, without compromising on the productivity that a notebook should ideally provide. The notebook is crafted from milled CNC aluminum and is available at a price of Rs 95,000. The device is 8.1 mm thin and weighs less than 840 grams. Coupled with a 12-inch HD display and a Corning Gorilla Glass 4 protection, the notebook runs on Windows 10 powered by a 6th generation Intel Core M vPro processor. Moreover, the display exhibits anti-glare capabilities combined with a 3:2 aspect ratio, and can automatically adjust to different lighting conditions. The presence of a built-in kickstand with 150 degrees of adjustability allows users to set the device upright for viewing and keyboard typing or laying it back for on-screen typing.

The other two laptops i.e. the HP EliteBook Folio 1040 G3 and HP EliteBook 840 are priced at Rs 90,000 and Rs 69,000 respectively.
