Gionee Extends S Series Lineup; Launches S Plus Phablet

BANGALORE: The Chinese Smartphone makers Gionee have launched its S Plus, extending the S series. Gionee S plus is a new entrant among those Smartphones which features USB Type C port for fast charging. The phone has been priced at 16, 999, reports FIRSTSPOT.

The Gionee S Plus is 5.5-inch smartphone with 720p HD AMOLED display protected by a Corning Gorilla Glass 3. The smartphone is powered by a 1.3GHz octa-core processor coupled with 3G RAM and 16GB expandable storage. The smartphone features a 13MP rear camera with LED flash and a 5MP front camera.

The smartphone can access the internet at 4G speeds and has a 3,150mAh battery. It will be available in dark blue, white and golden colors. The makers have included software features like Face Unlock, 3D vibration mode, rumble effect while zooming and immersive touch in S Plus phablet. The handset will be available from the first week of November.

Timir Acharyya GM of Gionee India stated that, “In today’s fast paced time, the consumer needs and desires are evolving and they don’t want to compromise on the looks nor the specs of the device. Hence to bridge in the gap, we have introduced the all new S Plus especially in India this Diwali to meet all the expectations that our consumers are asking for,”
