Everything About Apple iPad Mini

Bangalore: After all the rumors and speculations the iPad Mini was finally launched few days back at its event in San Jose. There were many rumors that Apple would release the mini tablet along with its much awaited iPhone 5. But Apple did not want any of its products over shadowing each other at the launch. Let’s have a look at the specifications of the latest member of the tablet as well as the Apple family and also see whether the new iPad Mini is worth investing in or not!

Display

The new iPad Mini comes with a 7.9 inch display which makes it a part of the small tablet category. The tablet comes with LED backlight technology which is similar to that used in the iPad 2. The Mini tablet comes with a resolution of 1024 X 768 pixels which is the same as that of the iPad 2.  With the pixel count of 1024 X 768, the screen comes with 163 pixels per inch (ppi). The sad news is that unlike the new iPad 3 the Mini does not come with Retina Display.

Powerful Processor

Apple products are known for their fast performance especially the iPads. The newest member in the Apple tablet family does not disappoint. The gadget is powered by an A5 chip which is also seen in the iPad 2. Along with this powerful processor the device functions on Apple’s latest operation system, iOS 6.
