Asus to Launch Transformer Prime


Bangalore: Asus to launch its latest quad core tablet Transformer Prime on November 9. The new Asus Eee Pad Transformer Prime will house a five core Nvidia Tegra 3processor along with that, the device will have the latest Google Android Ice Cream Sandwich as its operating system. The new transformer is super thin, measuring only 8.3mm thick, features a 10.1inch screen, and has a battery life of around 14.5 hours with the keyboard dock attached. It also has USB and HDMI ports and a microSD card slot for up to 32 GB of extra storage. The Transformer quad-core Tegra 3 chip will clock at 1.3 GHz per core. It will also feature either 16 GB ($499) or 32 GB ($599) of internal storage. The Transformer Prime will be a traditional touch tablet, but have a keyboard dock that it can attach to, making it about as functional as a netbook. Asus is planning to launch some new Android products in the 1st quarter of 2012 and feature the latest Windows mobile operating system Windows 8.
