Apple To Offer iPhone 6 With Bigger Screens

BANGALORE: Apple is all set to start production on the iPhone 6 which is expected to be released with bigger screen sizes. One of the main reasons for people to switch for Android devices is the large screen size the manufacturer offers. This timely move from Apple to incorporate larger screen to its upcoming handset comes from the increased competition in the market, reports Economic times.

According to the sources from Apple, the iPhone 6 is expected to come with 2 screen sizes on the phone and will be available to the retailers sometime this year. Apparently, the phone will have options of 4.7-inch and a 5.5-inch display size which are much bigger compared to the ones on the current iPhone 5s and the 5c. The new iPhone will be ‘thinner’ and ‘curved’, with a new metal design and will also feature a better camera sensor on the rear.

The report on the V3.co.uk also says that the phone will have an upgraded battery life and support for the wireless charging. Supposedly, The iPhone 6 with the 5.5-inch screen size will initially have short supply as it is complicated to be manufactured compared to the smaller ones and both the phone versions are expected to run on Apple’s latest operating system, iOS 8.

Apple recently released a software update with new features for its OS running on the iPhone and iPad, which offers more advantage and functionality features to its users, like the third party keyboard support, ability to add widgets to the notification center and much more.
