Peoples’ preference of smartphones that are easy to carry and manageable is the main reason why the next generation will not be interested in gadgets that our grandparents were interested in. Here is a  list of gadgets that are most likely to be forgotten in the near future:

1. Standard GPS Unit: GPS units are small tracking devices that take satellites’ help to locate a place that a person is searching. It was initially used for military purposes and then was made available to the general public. This device is like an electronic map that shows the location you are in and how much distance needs to be covered to reach your preferred location. There are different types of GPS navigation devices made exclusively for consumers. Outdoor receivers are used mainly for bicycle touring, hiking and other activities that are done far from an electric power source. Mobile receivers are used in cars; these devices usually show directions through speech with the help of a feature called “text to speech”. GPS facilities are also available on PCs that have the advantage of a bigger screen. Now with the introduction of smartphones that cater to all our needs, the need for outdoor receivers and mobile receivers is diminishing. Now your phone can tell you your exact location and give directions.
