15 Old Gadgets That Fascinated You

4. Nokia 3310 (2000)

Nokia 3310, now that was a phone! The phone changed the way we carried out our conversation, it actually encouraged many of us to have a mobile phone. The phone had some rare features of that ear, which includes the calculator, Nokia network monitor, stop watch and the reminder function.

We still love the games it had -- Snake II, Pairs II, Space Impact, and Bantumi. Nokia 3310 was extremely famous for text messaging as it allowed to type long messages and it also featured threaded SMS writing in the name of SMS Chat. One more good feature in the device was its quick dialing feature with selected numbers.

5. Napster (1999)

Napster can’t be considered as a gadget but it influenced the gadget world a lot, especially the music and file sharing space.

The original intention of Napster was to develop a peer-to-peer file sharing internet service that emphasized sharing audio files – majorly music files which are encoded in MP3 format.

It’s really sad that the original company was shut down by court order, but the Napster brand and the idea behind it evolved as the company’s assets were liquidated and purchased by other companies. At present Napster is owned by Rhapsody.
