LG launched this new L series phone under is Optimus range in the Indian market in late July, 2012. Firstly the phone was showcased at MWC 2012 which happed in Barcelona.  The Optimus L5 was launched for a price tag of 13,199, but now the phone is available around 12,000 in various online shopping sites. The company has also launched two other L series phones along with L5 – one is the high-end L7 model and the other one is the low-end L3 model.

LG Optimus L5 is clocked with a single core 800 MHz Qualcomm Snapdragon S1 MSM7225A mobile processor with 512 MB of RAM and runs on the Google Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich operating system.

The device comes with a 4 inches TFT capacitive touchscreen display having a resolution of 320x480 pixels, a 4 GB of internal memory which is expandable up to 32 GB with microSD cards, a 5.0 MP rear camera with autofocus and LED Flash and a Standard Li-Ion 1500 mAh battery. Sadly the phone doesn’t have a front camera for video chat.
