Sennheiser unveils 3 HD Headphones

Bangalore: Sennheiser in India unveiled 3 new Headphones, adding up to its HD series. The new range, which is likely to replace few of the predecessors, includes HD598, HD558 and HD518. All the three headphones have Sennheiser's Ergonomic Acoustic Refinement (EAR) technology. This provides users with netter sound quality as acoustic baffles direct the audio signal directly to the ears. HD598 has a frequency response of 12 to 38, 500 Hertz and rated impedance of 50 Ohms. Headphone's special diaphragm geometry helps in minimizing inter-modulation distortion during sound reproduction. It also has compressed cellulose fleece that decreases the total harmonic distortion to below 0.1 percent. It has cream-colored surfaces with a glossy metallic trim. It is available at a price of 12,990 and comes with 2 year warranty. HD558 is circumaural headphone with an internal Surround Reflector that creates spatial sound field. It has advanced Duofol diaphragms that provide transparency and minimizes distortion. For those looking for comfort, these headphones, with velour ear pads, headband and layered finish on ear cup casings, can be the best choice. The frequency response of the headphone is 15Hz to 28000Hz and a rated impedance of 50 Ohms. It has <0.2 % THD and 112dB SPL. It is priced at 8, 990 and has two year of international warranty. HD518, cheapest of all the three, has E.A.R technology and Duofol diaphragms. Its frequency response is of 14Hz to 26000Hz. The headphone has <0.2 % THD, 108dB SPL and impedance of 50 Ohms. Similar to the other two models, this also comes with 3 meters long cable that is Oxygen Free Copper(OFC)cable. The headphone is priced at 6, 490 and also come with two-year warranty.
