Nokia Asha 303 seems to a relative of X2-01, but with less weight and something more. Asha 303 sports a QWERTY keypad and a touchscreen. With all the Asha Series phones in the market it’s true that Nokia is trying to find some bread and butter from the budget phone market. Let’s have look that the finnish handset maker as for us in Asha 303.
Look and Feel: In Asha 303 Nokia has trying to give the experience of keyboard and touchscreen which might attract few of us. The best part we liked in its design is the metal battery cover which gives the phone a premium look and feels good in our plam. The neat build of the body is easy to hold even though the device is not that slim. But it is lightweight, weighs just 99 grams.
This Symbian Series 40 phone volume control and sleep/wake buttons on the right hand side and on the top it has charging port, microUSB port and 3.5 mm audio out port.
Processor and Operating system: Asha 303 is powered by an ARM 11 architectured 1 GHz mobile processor along with 128 MB RAM and 256 MB ROM. The presence of a 1GHz processor makes the device speedy, but the mobile is not good for multi-tasking.
Nokia Asha 303 smartphone runs on the company’s Symbian Series 40 user operating system. The device come loaded with apps like Angry Birds, Zenga TV and WhatsApp. Having Angry Bird in a Symbian Series 40 device is an added pleasure.

Screen:Asha 303 comes with a 2.6 inch touchscreen display having 320 x 240 pixel resolution. The touchscren is capacitive and there are dedicated keys below the screen to make calls, for texting, to play music and to disconnect the call. The screen has good light and contrast level therefore you don’t have to strain your eyes when you use this phone under sunlight. The viewing angle is very poor, but you don’t have to worry much about it as you won’t be watching any movies on this small screen.
CameraThere is a fixed-focus camera at the back which doesn’t have any flash. The picture quality is passable and the color representation is good, but the lowlight and night time image a complete disasters.
Multimedia:Asha 303 give most that the expected level of music experience, the loudspeaker is really very load. The device even supports high-quality music formats like .wav and AAC. The phone also supports DivX and Xvid media codecs which lets you watch videos on the move.
Battery LifeThe device worked perfectly well all day and might have stretched its life for few more hours if the connection was switch to GSM network from 3G.
The Standard battery Li-Ion 1300 mAh battery has made the device proud as it added a brownie point to this phone in terms of battery life.
Verdict Nokia Asha 303 is smart feature which can make you from that old basic phones and will give you both touch and type utility. For a cost of Rs.7,500 the phone gives the best it can. But the lack of multitasking makes you remember that you are holding a smartphone.
