2. Berenbreg Bank

This bank was established in 1590 in Hamburg, Germany by two brothers Hans and Paul Berenberg, who were into cloth trading and import/export business.  Due to this bank, the Hamburg city in no time grew as a hub of financial and trading activity.  This bank is known for its investment policy and conservative business strategy. Currently, Berenberg Bank has offices all across Europe, and remains the oldest private and merchant bank in Germany.

3. C.Hoare & Co.

The C. Hoare & Co was founded by Sir Richard Hoare in 1672, the oldest privately owned banking house in England. One attractive thing about this bank is that in olden times when people used signs to locate a shop the owner of this bank Sir Richard Hoare chose a symbol which was Sign of the Golden Bottle, which is sign of luxury and wealth commonly used by the goldsmiths.
