Indian Hotels, the largest hotel organization in South Asia has more than 100 hotels across the globe. This chain of hotels is reporting a net loss at the combined level because the global hospitality industry is going through a dismal cycle.
For example, despite rupee fall, the foreign tourist arrivals in the country grew by only 5 percent, which would actually benefit the foreign travelers. Due to this low arrival figure, the average rental amount as well as occupancy also remained almost flat.
