Axis Bank, in partnership with Hitachi Payment Services, has launched ‘Express Banking’, India’s first Digital Banking Point, aimed at transforming how people access everyday banking services.

Designed as a smart, compact, and self-service digital banking lobby, Express Banking blends the convenience of digital technology with the reliability of physical banking. Customers can now access services like account opening, loan applications, card issuance, bill payments, and deposit booking all round-the-clock and under one roof.

Powered by Hitachi’s advanced payment technology, the platform offers both self-service and assisted banking, making it ideal for deployment in urban and rural areas, as well as spaces like hospitals, universities, corporate parks, and villages.

Each Express Banking kiosk includes features like a passbook printer, card printer, cheque depositor, NFC enabled functions, and a user-friendly interface. These units are built with a modular design and strong security features, making them easy to scale and quick to deploy across various regions.

Reynold D’Souza, President & Head of Branch Banking at Axis Bank, said the initiative brings smart, secure, and consistent banking to more people, no matter where they live.
