Sometimes it is just better to find the truth out then spend sleepless nights thinking about it. So, here are some ways to find out if your spouse is coming clean with you about his/her finances –

Checking Your Paperwork

This is a tricky step as you will have to look at certain things pertaining to your spouse’s finances. You will have to be nosy, poke your nose and look out for any paper or agreement that hints a bad debt or credit. These can be – paper stubs from plastic money, bills paid for without your knowledge and even bank account statements. This might mean over-steeping your spouse’s line but it needs to be done. Do not go hunting for these overtly. Ask for the bank statements and other papers casually. Do not arouse suspicion. Remember that it is for the good of both of you.
